Challenge 2b: In the bag

My first bag! I used this tutorial and, even though I didn't quite understand how it would all magically come together when I pulled it right-side out I went with it, and was so surprised and excited when I did pull it right-side out and it did magically come together that I literally jumped out of my chair and did a happy dance right there in the kitchen. Complete with chanting. Lol!

I was going to go with a yellow lining to match the yellow states, but I think this pink lining goes better with the outside fabric overall.

The can is there for size. And it looks like the bag is leaning up against the plant, and it kind of is, but it also stands up on it's own pretty well. Yay for interfacing!

Sewing is so much more instantly gratifying than crocheting!

Thank you! I'd seen that fabric before, but resisted buying it as I had no idea what I'd make out of it. Then I went back looking for it and it was gone! Then I was back at that store looking for something else completely and there it was again, on sale even, yay! :D

Fantastic! I really like the pink lining. I also love your 'squee' moment. I'm totally going to try and make a bag now. I chickened out in the end and went with the felt chalenge.

Thank you! I was genuinely excited and amazed that I had actually made a bag. And that it looked good, lol! Definitely try it. It was very easy even though I wasn't clear on how it was going to work out. Just go with it, though, and it'll totally come out fine.

And when do we get to see your challenge?
